About me

I run.

We have a love/hate relationship.  I finally feel like I am in a place where I can run and enjoy it.  I don't run because I have to (even though I am in the throes of marathon training).  When it doesn't sound fun or I don't feel like running, I don't.  I try not to feel guilty when I skip a run, but sometimes I do.  For the most part running has led me back to myself.  Above all else it has shown me that I am strong, mentally and physically.  When things seem hard or out of control I think about what I have accomplished, a sub 2 half, a 20 mile run...marathons, triathlons!  Those are hard.  Sure, wanted to quit at times but in the end I finished.  I did not quit.  When life gets hard I don't give up.  So go ahead, challenge me but you better know what you are up against.  I am a runner and runners have heart, runners have guts, and runner have courage.

Sorry, but I had no idea where or how to contact you other than this comment....

I have started a new running site and have included your site within a new post. I would appreciate any tweets or sharing with your readers if possible. http://runningsomewhere.com/2010/05/15-running-writers-to-check-out/

Have a great day and hope to be in contact!
